That's exactly why you focus on the technology and not the tool.
Sawing is a relatively easy art (though many need to be constantly
reminded to measure twice before cutting). HTML authoring and the like
is a bit more difficult, but if you know HTML and the principles of
web authoring, you can easily switch from Dreamweaver to FrontPage to
Notepad... I can.
If the tools I use were ripped from my grubby mits tomorrow, I'd still
be able to get my job done. I'd probably have to think about a new
process for a day or two, given the substitutions I'd need to make,
but my process is not in the tools I use, but in my head. If you have
the theory down, the tool becomes exactly what it is: a tool.
