There's actually a little bit of truth in my statement. I don't
consider anything I write to be hard fact until I get it read and
reviewed by the original source of the information, whether it is a
SME, developer, etc. Until then, it's something between fact and
fiction...let's call it unconfirmed fact.
Funny thing...when I was interviewed, I was asked how I get the
cooperation of he technical staff to get the information about a
system or process. I told him that I make it understood that what I
write is going to be released. They can review it or not. However,
their uncooperationisn't going to stop the release. Then,k when wrong
information is released and questions, I'll have no compunction with
telling management that they were asked (several times) to review and
they refused.
Since then, my manager has metntioned several times how much that
answer impressed him, almost like it was the answer that clinched my employment
