FrameMaker side graphics as a part of the paragraph style
Subject:FrameMaker side graphics as a part of the paragraph style From:Chuck Martin <cm -at- writeforyou -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Wed, 18 May 2005 15:25:42 -0700
I'm pretty sure I've seen this done before in a long-ago job, but I
don't recall how it *was* done (I think we were using Frame 5.x/Mac) and
Google and archive searches have proved fruitless.
What I have: a document template with room for side heads.
What I want: a paragraph style that contains a side graphic in the area
for side heads. Such a graphic should be right-aligned with the
side-head area and top-aligned with the top of the first line of text.
I know I could do this by adding tables that stretch across the side
head area. But I'd rather note take that approach, especially as if the
paragraph turns out to be only a short, one-line sentence, the vertical
space between paragraphs below would look like too much.
I *think* I could do this by creating some sort of pre-designed graphic
frame, placed correctly in relation to its anchor and store that in the
reference pages, but I'm not entirely sure how to do this.
I'd *prefer* to have such a beast as a part of the paragraph style, but
the only thing I can find seems to allow graphics above or below the
paragraph, not alongside (and seemingly no way to adjust the placement
of such graphics).
thx
