Automatically Update Fields in MS Word 2003 - Is there a setting?

Please reply directly (not only to the list). Currently I need to manually
right-click and select "Update Field". I would like this to occur
automatically when I save a document. If possible in locked forms as well,
but this is a secondary issue.
