The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Thanks to Dick Margulis, the solution is to create a layer called
TitleBlock (or what you find suitable), and define its properties as
only VIEW. Maybe assign a unique color to it so you can tell it is
different, mine is red since everything I do is with shades of blue
and gray
Define the element as being on this layer, then when you export as a
graphic (I use gif), the layer will be left behind.
I can give more how-to specific off-line if you like.
