The CFD site has a very few. Detailed, technical as used in fire
evacuation plans. I don't know about the appearance, I suppose it's
standard or acceptable in practice and not excellent. They're on a
Documents and Downloads page of the Chicago Fire Department's Web site.
The PrintMaster 3.0 CD (from many years ago, like 1996) had an
impressive array of stuff like that. I think that the sw is still being
produced, but I don't know the version number or the current company
name. I suppose that other drawing suite home sw packages like
PrintMaster also have good offerings of these symbols.
As to the Web, I don't know. There oughtta be. That cptec site looked
good.

Anyone know of any good web sites that offer a downloadable library of
signs and symbols (things like stop signs, warnings, cautions, notes,
telephones, restroom, handicap access, etc.) It would be great to find
some that are internationally accepted and designed well (the few I
have found are not well designed)...
