Outsourcing is nothing new, all that's changed is WHERE the work is
outsourced to. When I started some 20+ years ago I worked for a TW
company that provided authoring/drawing etc services. There were several
offices around the country - the one I worked in had 20-30 writers, plus
technical illustrators, clerks, typists (we used pencil and paper then!)
etc and we did work for a wide cross-section business - military,
utilities etc. Maybe things have just gone full circle only now the
outsourcing is further afield.
