Oh yeah, one thing I should have mentioned, I do go on real vacations,
but having spent a good portion of my previous career as an engineer
traveling to various govt bases located near places like Las Vegas,
Hawaii, Scotland, etc., I can tell you that spending my time in a room
with a bunch of other people talking shop doesn't come anywhere near 
meeting my definition of a "getting away."  When I go to the trouble
to prepare my team to do without me for a week so I can take off, 
the only writing I even want to think about is signing for my mai tai 
at the hotel pool... :)

I disagree. The stress of work is always there. By your argument I can
imagine that you probably don't take much vacation time off, either.
