More than one of the above. When I'm onsite at one job, I have a cube. Another job has an open office plan (big rooms, desks clustered into small groups). When I'm at home, I have one extremely insufficient desk. Only at my first ever writing job (ironically enough?) did I have my own office.
My preference (if I can't be at home) is for the open plan. It's surprisingly quiet and pleasant.

Subject: New TECHWR-L Poll Question - Office Spaces
Hello everyone!
Well, after taking a few weeks off from doing polls, I'm back with a
new one. There has been a bit of discussion on the list about office
spaces. Some have offices, some have cubicles, some, like me, work in
the engineering test lab wearing orange earmuff hearing protection.
*grin*
How about you? Here is this week's poll:
Where do you live at work?
* A cubicle farm - cubicle, sweet cubicle
* I have a private office
* I share an office
* Our desks are just in this big room....
* Job sites or factory or shop or test lab
* My den or living room or other home office space
* In the basement with a red stapler
* Other/None of the above
