Kathleen <keamac -at- cox -dot- net> asked (not entirely off-topic), "Does anyone
have suggestions for salary negotiations?"
My fav method of introducing the right salary is providing Department
of Labor and local cost-of-living information. For instance, I may say
something like, "The DOL reported last year that a person of X
background with Y education and Z experience nationally earns an
average of X. Locally adjusted for a COL variable of Q and the
requirements for this position, you should reasonably expect to pay no
less than ... blah blah blah."
Get statistical. Show you know your worth. Worked for me, at least.
Good luck!
