Not a particularly early reader (5?), but always a voracious one--and a naturally fast one as well. I often experience that write & spell but not pronounce phenomenon. People use me like a walking dictionary.
Is this weird? Often I can't spell a word aloud--the process of having to speak the letters slows me down and they get jumbled up. But if I write it down quickly it's usually correct, and then I can call out the spelling.
BTW, I dig your name--my surname, while long and ethnically similar, is not quite as challenging. Growing up in New England, I often saw names like yours and I can usually pronounce them fairly well--but spelling them correctly is another story!
