Personally, I always thought you should say that someone "graduated FROM
NYU," and that to say someone "graduated NYU" was sloppy English. But
then, maybe it's an example of linguistic drift -- just as it's now
considered acceptable for someone who isn't feeling well to "go lay down
for awhile."
