Re: One big word document or break apart

My own experience with Word is that there's always a non-zero chance
of crashes, document corruption, etc.

So breaking it down into smaller sub-documents is a safety tactic.

I would think that once the individual sub-documents are revised, it
should be possible to recombine them into one large document and then
re-create the Table of Contents.  A minor nuisance, but more tolerable
than having to deal with a crashed 300-page document.
