Web usability, eh? You'll want to maintain a breadcrumb trail, too.
IIRC, even Nielsen stopped worrying and learned to love the `>` for
those.

Now the docs resemble the breadcrumbs which reflect the IA.

And you're gonna need that, because this ...

1. Click the Corporate Services menu, point to
Technology Services, and click Software. 2. On the left menu, click Account Management. 3. On the submenu that appears, click Quick
Reference Guide.

... is, uhh, ahem. Let's just say that nothing six layers deep can
be "Quick".

But at least you're using pure, in-document semantics to depict the
nav/hierarchy, and achieving the jazzy rollover effects with CSS --
instead of scripting it all.

It's smart that you're checking it in a screen reader (or at least an emulator).
