Page X of Y in Word

Hi,
I know this has been in issue in Word for a while, but I had a work
around that has suddenly stopped working! 

I'm using Word 2000 on Windows XP Pro.

I have the "Page X of Y" code (Page {PAGE} of {NUMPAGES}) in the footer
of lots of Word documents that were created using Word 2000 on Windows
2000. In, for example, a nine page document, they now show 1 of 1, 2 of
2, 3 of 3, etc. instead of 1 of 9, 2 of 9, 3 of 9, etc., as they did
before.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
