Microsoft's Metro is supposed to *not* replace PDF (see "We come not

to bury PDF but to praise it" section)

I am researching XML schemas, & our group is looking for printing

capabilities - from XML to PDF or to the new Metro format.

Supposedly, the two (Metro & PDF) may complement each other. So, I

ran across the link.

Although most have read the "square-off" news in other

publications, I thought I would share this one:

If a square-off is indeed imminent, maybe I'll hold off on classes I was going to take for Flash ActionScript & Dreamweaver courses. Does anyone foresee the demise of any of these tools, with MS in the picture? Any concerns?

Of course, the Macromedia acquisition is still pending per Adobe. I

have viewed many of the documents online, including financials, & so

far, I don't see any challenges to the acquisition. Has anyone heard

anything to the contrary, from any of the government agencies, or

otherwise? I know, mum's the word for Macromedia/Adobe employees -

so, that's a given!
