This sounds like a natural for a Techwr-l Poll question.

I've got an Oxford Concise English dictionary on my shelf, next to a Collins
Concise Thesaurus. I had a company-owned MW-10, but it walked off.

I mostly don't need to look up spelling. I mostly use both books for
Thesaurus-type reasons... groping around to find the right word for a
concept, or to find one that I haven't already [over]-used in the current
document/Help.
