What are the enhancement requests *for*? Processes? Software? hardware?
Documentation?
You could handle software and hardware enhancement requests with a bug
reporting system, like Bugzilla, that is essentially a DBMS with a
bug-focused application framework built around it.
On the whole, I like the idea of using a DBMS or its kin for enhancement
requests. A DBMS helps you with tracking and searching. Most application
framework/DBMS frameworks (like Access) help you enforce input standards
and help you automate other stuff.
Of course, I am at heart a data geek. Comes from growing up in a
scientific family. My current dream is to have my own internet-connected
weather station...

Subject: Enhancement requests
Folks,
I've just started working for a small-but-growing company. It's
experiencing the usual pains caused by the old, ad hoc communication
methods being overwhelmed by too much work and too many new employees.
So I have been asked to create an enhancement request process.
