Are the show archives (specifically the 'Content Management Live!'
shows) available in a format that can actually be downloaded? Or, just
as streaming audio? I went to the site when the series was announced but
did not have time to extensively explore and from what I remember, all I
could find was streaming audio.
Personal preference only but, for anything longer than a sound byte
streaming audio is such a pain. Between a full day's work and a two-hour
commute each way, I do not have time to sit tied to a computer and
internet connection to listen to streaming audio. I much prefer being
able to download audio as an MP3 (i.e. no DRM nonsense to cause hassle)
that I can listen to on my computer, on my digital audio player, or burn
to CD. Between those three options, I am able to enjoy the freedom and
convenience of listening to the content when and where I want. In the
past month, I have already had to return a couple of "audio" CDs to the
music store because they wanted to install software on my computer in
order to listen to them. Sorry for that, I digress and am veering off
into a good topic for my blog.
I am a digest subscriber so, any offlist or CCed responses are much
appreciated.
Thanks much,
Joseph L. Hodge
