TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Now if only someone could figure out how to turn off the multiple
toolbars in Word. If I have two (or more) docs open in the same window,
I do not need a toolbar for each one. I want a single shared toolbar, as
they used to do in Word 97. From 2000 on, they did away with the shared
toolbars. Just my humble opinion but if I am comparing docs or
copy/paste from one to the other, I want screen real estate not
duplicate menu bars.
Thanks much,
Joseph L. Hodge
