Subject:RE: Password problem (Word) From:"Donald H. White" <trlbldr -at- comcast -dot- net> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Tue, 30 Aug 2005 10:01:56 -0400
I'd try opening the file as a "Read-Only" document, copying the text to the
Clipboard, and pasting it into a new Word file.
Sometimes, Word opens documents anyway, even if you don't supply the
password required. It's not supposed to happen, but I've seen this occur
with versions 6 (Office 95) through 10 (Office XP).
Good luck!
