Hi Melissa,

I'd consider a completely different tool, such as XMetal, that might deliver 
your "manual" in more transferrable format like XML. FrameMaker 7.1 does 
support XML too, but I'm not sure if it would suit your needs...but then 
again, it might.

Making files go from FrameMaker to Word isn't a very appealing process, IMO. 
If you want your users to have more control over the output, I'd definitely 
go with XML, or even HTML. Give them a zip file and let your users do 
whatever they want with the output.
