Do you have the full version of Acrobat? Have you tried its export to RTF?
The best solution, of course, is to convert the _source files_ from which
the PDF was created. Is there some reason your company doesn't have access
to them?
If, for instance, the doc was created in FrameMaker, you can get an
excellent conversion from FM to Word using Mif2Go (www.omsys.com).
