The Bible is a relatively new compilation of texts from various eras,
the oldest of which is probably the pentateuch. Bible scholars believe
that Moses who wrote the pentetateuch also wrote the book of Job.
The Vedas from India are arguably older, and definitely more technical
works than the Bible. Ayurveda, probably the most widely recognised
name among the Vedas, documents a complete therapeautic system,
covering medical philosophy, anatomy & physiology, materia medica and
other topics not usually covered in the typical MBBS curriculum.
