OK, understood. I was not trying to say that storing your files locally
was a "bad idea." You have to choose what's best for you!
Thing is, I can't think of any that are *not* inherently client-server.
CVS is designed that way. As I said, you're not required to run the
repository on a separate computer. I didn't set up our repository, so I
don't know how difficult it is. The good news (sorta) is that CVS is
widely used, so at least you could get help if you need it.
