Real tech writers did not type!
We had to print out our text in pencil and take it to the typing pool.
Then we
would mark up the corrections and send it back to the typing pool.
I still have some blue pencils somewhere for marking up camera copy,
and
talc for marking and dimensioning photographs for paste-up.
