Re: New Poll Question / Introduction
I'd like to introduce myself after having lurked for a few weeks.I'm new here also and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Lisa Boyd and I'm researching technical communications. I'm a computer addict and have a deep desire to write. I'm hoping to pick up pointers here on where to start. I've always loved research and organizing information. I also love telling people how to do things, but never really knew there was a profession dedicated to it :)
And in keeping with today's conversation, I am 29 years old. My first computer used a cassette tape, too, and not only did I grow up watching the Smurfs, I even had a plastic Smurfs lunchbox in grade school. Those were the days!I'm 32 so I guess I'm in the middle of everyone here (and I don't have a clue who Dick is although I'd love to learn more). My first computer was a Commodore 64. When my Dad brought it home, the first thing I did was sit down and read the manual :) I grew up watching the Smurfs and, being brunette, always wondered why blondes had all the fun. I remember days of watching 1 of 3 channels and if you wanted to watch something else, you had to get up and turn the dial on the tv.
Going back into lurk mode now ...
Lisa Boyd
