Milk in glass bottles, with foil caps, home delivered, in the special milk box annex of the mailbox. We used to get gigantic rolls of foil with punched-out circles from the milk packing plant and use it like tinsel to decorate for school dances (and no, I did not go to school in a rural area, but in the capital). I missed school milk by rather less than a decade.

Candy cigarettes

Yes. In fact, you can still get them in the old country, although they were renamed from "spaceman cigarettes" to "spaceman sticks" at some point. Perhaps the red end is supposed to represent retro-rockets firing?
