I used to put bits of casual text into my documents, that were supposed to
be formal, and were going to end users. Not quite as bad as Bill and
Melissa were talking about. The problem was that it was a small company
with absolutely no document review. I couldn't buy a review from an
engineer, manager, project leader, or even the marketing guy. I put them
in to see if anyone out there was reading. So as a partial revenge, at
release time, I didn't remove them. Was only caught a couple times by the
field service guy that was trying to help a customer with an overly obtuse
feature, that even he couldn't figure out without the manual.

I actually was not paying close attention to something I was writing
earlier
and put "screwed" in there as in "if you do this you will be screwed"
Luckily I edit myself!!! :)
