Maybe down South honey, but in tech heavy Minnesota it seems the programmers are getting the calls. There are TWing contracts but they're from the same companies that always have contracts, and who wants to work for the usual suspects? Although it could be the moniker: Content Wrangler. Very cool.

What I'd like to know is this: where did all the Indian recruiters come from? Are they in India working for US technical recruiters? My husband gets at least 5-10 emails and calls a day from national recruiters and they are all Indian. Freaky. I realize India has more programmers, but tech recruiters?

Has anyone noticed an upturn in the number of contracts and job openings lately. I have seen many more opportunities than usual come across my desk in the last month or so. It almost seems near the level of pre-dotcom bust days.

I received over 60 offers this week (from listservs, job services, recruiter emails and posting to websites). This seems like good news!
