I ran in to an issue last week that surfaced again with a file this week
with external links in a PDF file that was created from a Frame
document.
Files were created in Frame (6.1 I think) and I'm editing them in Frame
7.1. In the end-result PDF, three links to external web pages function
properly, but one behaves differently. When you hover above it, you get
the little hand icon with a "W" in it, and when you click on it, it
opens a security warning asking you to block or allow the connection to
this site. For the properly working links, when you hover you get the
hand, and when you click it just opens the web page.
I (and my co-workers) have looked in Frame and been unable to find a
setting that would cause these links to work differently. The link
markers appear identical. We use Distiller to create our PDF files, and
I haven't been able to find a Distiller setting that would seem to cause
this either (especially since it only happens for one link, not all).
We've got a workaround for it so it is not an issue that is holding me
up, I'm just wondering if anyone else has run in to this problem or if
I'm just "special". :)
Thanks,
- Victoria
