I have up cycles and down cycles, but I am getting in the habit of
doing what Bill has suggested. I look ahead and "gather" projects
when I see I am going to have down time.

It seems like I need to "market" my self to the PM's and various
developers sometimes. It's a process that leads to a fairly constant,
manageable work load.
