I did this many years ago and just sort of evolved into it being the
"entertainer" in my family of origin.
I don't know if you're in the U.S., Germany, or wherever, but I suggest
a Dale Carnegie course or two, a local Toastmasters group, and the
National Speakers Assn. (http://www.nsaspeaker.org/) as great ways to
hone both your confidence and your presentation skills. Also check out
the ASTD at http://www.astd.org/astd. Several of these organizations
offer excellent materials at their websites if you don't have something
comparable outside the U.S.
(Actually, the best training I received was while I was with Learning
Tree International, but their "Train the Trainer" course is proprietary.
Maybe one or more of their comm. Courses: http://www.ltree.com/training-directory/Writing-Presentation-Skills-Trai
ning-21.htm Learning Tree does have learning centers in London,
Stockholm, Paris and Tokyo, besides several U.S. locations.)
> Chris (who doesn't work for any other these organizations but reveres
them all)

Subject: From documentation to training
Hi all!
As you know, my company has been closed, but now I have a job with the
company which bought all
the assets.
And I'm changing carreers: there will be training of employees, dealers
and customers in my
future, not only for our products, but also general training like
presentation skills and the
like. Another part of my job will be technical sales (advising customers
and planning their
conference systems).
So, has anyone gone a similar way? Do you have any advice or resources
(books, websites,
newsgroups) on this work areas?
