Subject:Table Lines in Tables Between Pages in FrameMaker From:<classe -at- charter -dot- net> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Sun, 26 Feb 2006 17:18:56 -0500
I recently inherited a project where the specs require that any tables that
break between pages have horizontal lines only at the beginning and end of
the table. The problem is that the former tech writers modified the tables
such that some of them meet the spec and other tables do not.
I was told to go to Table Designer and check the box under the Ruling Tab
that states to "Draw bottom ruling on last sheet only". This is supposed to
fix the tables to meet the spec. Unfortunately it does nothing with the
existing tables. The tables contain a horizontal line at the top of the
table on the next page - this line is not supposed to be there plus some
tables have no line at the bottom of the table.
Has anyone run into this situation and if so can you suggest a solution?
