I'm there too. I might add the corollary "Do what you can to pay the
bills so you can find the time to do what you love." :)
I am curious as to what a patent secretary does, however. I have a
lawyer friend in D.C. who specializes in patent law and can't find a
job, and this might be a great way for him to break into the field.
