How about "myself" as in "See myself or Dawn."
As for ubiquitous: Ubiquitous is. That's sort or circular which reminds me of "nucular."
I wonder if these words are annoying because of personalities. I'm sure that from time to time I say or use words incorrectly and don't think anything of it. I find myself more annoyed when people with objectionable personalities use them. I'm less annoyed or more forgiving when my wife says "unthawed" or some other odd word.
