When I read it the first time, I flashed back on the early SNL skit by the Not
Ready For Prime Time Players--John Belushi, in his role as the pirate Captain
Ned, waxing sentimental about his sailor's life, always among 'manly, virile
men.'

The writer of the manual probably refers to a similar estimable masculine
cadre of toolmakers and tinkers, though the fog of quaintness obscures
them--whether they be blacksmiths or technicians, I can't tell. At $12 per
new torque wrench, we may never know.

No. No! No one could have guessed it. Someone must have told you! Drat drat
drat, I must build higher walls. And I too will hire resolute spies.

Same time next year?
