Re: I've landed
Congratulations on your landing, John.
I've worked for big (100,000+) and small (under 50)
companies, and although there are inevitably more
layers of beaureacracy to navigate in large ones,
in the end it all comes down to how effective and
supportive the person *you* report to is.
I've noticed that //sometimes// it is possible to
improve the boss, generally by thinking, "What can I do
that will make the boss look good? What will keep him
out of trouble?" Other times that won't work--the
hair is too pointy, or the whole enterprise is doomed
from above or from outside.
