Of course we must, we're techwriters! Isn't that written into our job
descriptions? I'm pretty sure my STC membership card says "No nit too small
to pick" across the bottom. I'm pretty sure I'm on a mission from God to
find fault with everything that crosses my path. There's a usability flaw, a
generalization, an inaccuracy, or a typo in them all!
Facetiousness aside (but not too far -- Friday, remember?), I get you Clare.
Pickiness is our strength, but it's also our downfall. I don't think there's
a group on Earth that is as collectively annoying as techwriters.
(Professional indexers, perhaps, but...) Individually, however, we're all
very lovable, don't you think?
