Yeah I hate that question. You know the interviewer has a preferred
reply, the trick is to get it right. If you respond that you see
yourself doing something outside TC, they might think you won't stick
around that long. If you say you see yourself doing pretty much what you
do when you start job, it looks like you have no ambition or desire for
growth. Definitely a minefield.
I got the job once by answering it like this:
"Do you see yourself still managing this department in five years?"
Answer: No.
"Cool. Because in five years I'd kind of like your job."
