Subject:Opening Quark files with another application From:"Paul Pehrson" <paulpehrson -at- gmail -dot- com> To:TECHWR-L <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Tue, 30 May 2006 09:29:49 -0600
Dear Techwr-L friends,
We will soon be receiving some Quark (version 5 or 6?) files that we
will need to open and modify. As I investigate the possibilities, I'd
like to know if either of the following are possible:
* Open the native Quark file in FrameMaker.
* Open the native Quark file in InDesign.
If either of these options are viable, can anybody tell me what
problems I can expect, formatting-wise? Are there any plugins for
Frame or InDesign that might facilitate the opening of Quark files?
If I can't do it, we can purchase Quark, but it would be much easier
for us if we can use the tools we already own.
Thanks for your collective wisdom.
