Sometimes it's the writer who is incorrect, and the
"dysfunctional" company is going just the way the
owner intends. Perhaps failure *is* the agenda, for
whatever reason! My wife was a QC engineer, and found
out that her efforts at improving productivity were
being sabotaged because someone in upper management
had an agenda to scrap the plant, and showing it as
unprofitable was part of his plan.
In another era, a railroad in New England put great
effort into ripping up already-installed 115-pound
Krupp rail, and replacing it with random 85-pound
rail. The good rail went to a scrap yard the
president's brother owned. The RR went bankrupt
the following year. All part of a plan.
You cannot know what motivates apparent stupidity,
but get your resume out there.
