Hi Techwhirlers:

I've got a problem with importing Word to RoboHelp (with Webhelp with
CSS as the final output).

So far, I have not found any good solution (or an application) that will
strip out all the yucky Word styles and other junk (ack! those
MSOwhatever!) so that I can get a clean HTML page and apply a cascading
style sheet to the WebHelp pages. And, to complicate things, the
original Word documents are InfoMapped, so I have been (manually)
stripping off the InfoMap template (which tends to crash RoboHelp if
left in place) and deleting the lines between blocks, continued page
notices, etc. Additionally, there are sometimes as much three embedded
tables (each inside the other). That doesn't translate at all.

All I have found to do is import the Word docs into Robohelp (Winhelp
2000) and strip out he formatting there in Word (with some macros I've
created) and convert it to a clean HTML page by gen'ning WebHelp from
there. It works okay, but is time-consuming.

If there is an application that *really works* to remove the Word styles
and convert it to *clean* HTML, I would love to know about it. I've
tried a couple, but not had much success.

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully,
