Kath:

I can think of only three English words in which a soft G is not
followed by "e" or "i", and only one of them has no alternate
spelling.

Comparing the output from:

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/geability?e

with the output from:

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gability?e

will show that all words ending in "-ability" that ARE in that
dictionary have an "e" if they're pronounced with a soft G, and
no "e" if they're not... So "engageability" seems like the best
choice.
