2. For XP Pro and Office 2003, I strongly recommend 1 GB RAM as a
minimum. This is the number that's usually flung around these lists.
There are those who do fine with only 256 MB -- more power to 'em. But
I'd go to a gig and see if that doesn't improve things.
3. Do you have tools to see what else is running on the PC while you're
doing this task? You'd be surprised what you might find there in the
background...
