Oh, I forgot to mention Pandora. When not listening to electic MP3s and CDs, I often use www.pandora.com--brought to you by the creators of the Music Genome Project.

I third the mention of Pandora. It's a wonderful resource, and I'm
guaranteed to find something new to listen to. And it's completely
Web-based, so no nasty downloads to worry about.
I also have used Last.fm on occasion, and the music selection's much
wider than Pandora, but God help you if you lose your username and/or
password info. :) The company has NO way to effectively contact it,
and you have to re-register.
