Well, I've been typing for almost 30 years, mousing for 15. My mousing
hand is getting worse and worse at selecting buttons and icons and the
smaller they are the more difficult selecting is.

The other day, my hand jerked so hard on the mouse that I moved a
directory at the client site. I don't know which one or where. I
couldn't even tell anyone which one. I can't stop laughing about it,
but I'm also investigating voice recognition software :)

Well, that and disability insurance....

Elayne,

Some notes:

1. Mouse yips. I like it. Yes, I've definitely seen it; now I know what I'll call it. Thanks.

2. Mine is usually an indication that my wireless mouse is about to die and I check to ensure that I've got spare batteries on hand. I'm sorry that yours is physiological. In addition to looking for disability insurance, look for a chiropractor who specializes in diseases of the cubicle-bound (ask around). Your condition sounds like something that a chiropractor could help you with.

3. About the moved directory. In Windows Explorer (where I assume you were) or any of its children (such as the File Open or File Save dialog), you can generally recover from such inadvertent moves with Ctrl+z (undo), as long as you apply it immediately, before taking any other action. The same is true in many programs with tree interfaces, such as mail programs with a folder structure.

HTH,

Dick
