Nah, it's all in the mind. If you can demonstrate the skills, maturity and
have clue, then age is not a problem.
Besides, older writers are better than younger writers, simply because being a
writer is like being an actor. The more theater, movies or TV shows an actor
has played in, the better they are considered to be as actors. Same thing
with writers. Acting and writing are amongst the few job types where having
done many gigs actually stands in favor.
Of course Human Resource types may not understand, but I find that relaying
the above to them, changes their perception in most cases.
