In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

I'm willing to bet that similarly, most poets doing technical writing are doing bad technical writing. But then most poets are doing bad poetry, and most technical writers-- no, I wouldn't
