I best remember 'incentivize*' from a company meeting a couple of gigs
back, where they were talking about how to 'incentivize' their
employees.
Incentivize is ugly, to be sure. I prefer the version I've heard for the last few years, _incent_, as in "We need to incent the {user | customer | employee} to ....
Works for me.
